Property Transfer Tax Changes

Good news for first-time homebuyers, the Property Transfer Tax exemption has been raised for a higher purchase price, if requirements are met. The full exemption is available for properties with a purchase price of up to $425,000. There is a further partial exemption for any purchase price of up to $450,000.
This exemption applies to both a property bought in the GVRD or elsewhere in the province. There is no longer any minimum financing required to qualify. For complete information and requirements
