Vancouver Realtor Runs
Now that a full day of rest is behind me, I can blog about the weekend. I ran the Vancouver International Half Marathon on Sunday. I finished in just under 21/2 hours, which considering I just have started back into running after a year hiatus, I'm pretty pleased with. The course was great, although wet. Of course being a Realtor I was checking out all the condo buildings in Coal Harbour and figuring out how many of them I have been to open houses in. Well, you have to think about something while you're running! We also ran through Gastown, Stanely Park and English Bay. I felt very proud when I overheard visiting runners comment on what a beautiful run it was. I also felt sorry for those from out of town, who didn't have the advantage of training on the North Shore, especially when it came to running up to Prospect Point. Many thanks to my friends and running buddies who came out to cheer me on, Hilary, Vicki and Kelly. You all made the 22 kms easier. I also have to thank Paul Purin and everyone of North Shore Athletics who guided me through my training.
